Lady Olympia

Knitwear Collection for a design contest

My personal design narrative unfolds within the threads of this collection. In 2013, Lady Olympia marked a pivotal moment in my design journey. Handcrafted with a domestic knitting machine for a local fashion competition, this collection embodies my personal narrative. Inspired by terracotta figurines of Mesopotamia, it celebrates the strength and resilience of women throughout history.

Each stitch resonates with the theme of women’s warrior spirits, employing techniques like short rowing, layered knit «scales,» and heat-pressed jersey knits. These diverse methods merge seamlessly to create a captivating visual narrative.

Lady Olympia clinched the coveted 1st prize, a testament to the harmonious blend of craftsmanship and storytelling woven into every piece. This collection not only reflects my creative vision but also honors the timeless power and spirit of women.
